We sell identity disaster recovery to security teams. Every detail of how we build, document, and communicate either reinforces or erodes the trust that the product itself promises. The bar is everywhere.
Ship the boring stuff first.
Most identity infrastructure fails on the un-glamorous parts – OAuth handshakes, capability detection, drift in production. We invest hard in the things that do not make headlines until they break.
Customers are not abstractions.
Every engineer sits with customers. Every designer watches a real restore. Every GTM hire ships code-shaped artifacts. The fastest way to build the right product is to keep the feedback loop short.
Owners, not employees.
Equity is meaningful, not theatrical. Decisions move at the speed of the person closest to the problem. We hire people who would still take the same actions if they ran the company.

Founding Engineer, Identity Infrastructure
Own the identity-native data model. Okta, Auth0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM at the protocol level.
What you will own
- Design and ship the backup, diff, and restore engines across every Okta resource type
- Own the OIN-listed integration end-to-end, including OAuth, private_key_jwt, and capability detection
- Build the restore-preview dry-run system that makes Butterfly safer to use than the alternatives
- Set the engineering bar for an early team – code review, testing discipline, on-call posture
About you
- Production identity experience at Okta, Auth0, AWS IAM, Microsoft Entra, PingOne, or equivalent
- Comfortable working close to the metal of OAuth, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, and JWT crypto
- Has shipped a backup, replication, or disaster-recovery system at meaningful scale
- Loves the boring discipline that makes infrastructure trustworthy
Founding Full-Stack Engineer
Own the product surface customers actually live in. Next.js, TypeScript, Cloudflare Workers, Supabase.
What you will own
- Build the dashboard, restore previews, audit pack generator, and admin surfaces
- Ship the marketing site, pricing, and conversion surfaces with design polish that rivals Linear and Vercel
- Own performance, accessibility, and design-system rigor across every customer-facing surface
- Partner with the founding designer to keep the product feeling inevitable
About you
- Senior full-stack at a high-bar product company (Linear, Vercel, Stripe, Notion, Figma, Anthropic, etc.)
- Deep React, TypeScript, and Next.js – opinions about RSC, hydration, edge runtimes
- Cares about latency, layout shift, and details most engineers do not notice
- Can ship end-to-end without a PM or a designer holding their hand
Founding Forward-Deployed Engineer
Sit with customers, ship the integration, run the first restore drill, write the case study.
What you will own
- Onboard new customers end-to-end, from OIN install through their first scheduled backup and dry-run restore
- Build customer-specific tooling that becomes product features
- Run the first real disaster-recovery drill with every enterprise customer
- Own the customer voice inside the product roadmap
About you
- FDE / SE / solutions experience at OpenAI, Anthropic, Cursor, Vercel, Modal, Cloudflare, or equivalent
- Writes production code, not slide decks
- Comfortable on the customer call and in the codebase in the same hour
- Treats every customer incident as a chance to make the product better
Founding Product Designer
Make identity disaster recovery feel inevitable. Set the product and brand bar for the category.
What you will own
- Own the design system across product, marketing, docs, and the iOS app
- Design restore previews, readiness scores, and audit packs that read as trustworthy at a glance
- Set the brand vocabulary – every comparison page, every email, every screenshot
- Pair with engineering daily, ship daily
About you
- Senior product design at Linear, Stripe, Vercel, Notion, Figma, Anthropic, or equivalent
- Strong systems thinker – typography, motion, density, hierarchy at the platform level
- Writes well – copy is part of design
- Has opinions about why most security-product UI feels obviously bad
Founding Go-to-Market Lead
Build the go-to-market motion from zero. Outbound, partnerships, content, pricing, the lot.
What you will own
- Run founder-led sales alongside Mick – discovery, technical demos, procurement
- Build the outbound machine into the Tier-A Okta customer pipeline
- Own the Okta partnership relationship and the Elevate program path
- Translate technical depth into stories security buyers actually believe
About you
- Early-stage GTM at a developer or security-tools company – ideally one you joined before Series A
- Comfortable with technical buyers and complex enterprise security cycles
- Writes and ships, does not wait for marketing to spin up
- Treats the product roadmap as a customer feedback loop, not a wishlist
